Amsterdam Cannabis Inc was formed in 2021 with hopes of getting into the new legal cannabis market that was being created in New York State. However, the real story began many years earlier in Amsterdam NY when two young brothers began selling candy bars in school to their friends and one day decided they wanted to expand their business and make some extra money. At that time their friends were starting to experiment with marijuana and they decided they wanted to be the supply. Years of involvement in the legacy market all culminated in an investigation and eventual arrest. At the time this ended the brothers term of selling marijuana. Until now, being granted a CAURD license has rejuvenated the brothers interest and they are now back in the cannabis market, but this time legitimate.
